2022 editions of National Conferences of SIN and SIMI were completely green.

63° National Conference of Italian Society of Nephrology (Rimini, October 5-8, 2022), from its planning to its schedule, until realization, has seen an implementation of strategies and procedures aimed at decreasing their impact on the environment.

Among the activities worth mentioning, a remarkable paper and plastic saving: Conference program was available only online an on the Conference app, as well as all CME material; Certificates of participation were submitted by e-mail; participants’ badges were printed on recycled paper, without plastic badge-holders and particular attention has been paid to the culinary part, for which we used recyclable and low environmental impact materials.

For the 123th National Conference of Italian Society of Internal Medicine (Rome, October 21-23, 2022) the aim was to organise a sustainable event too: Conference program was available only on the Conference app, and all the CME material on the official website. The same was for certificates of participation, only online-downloadable, remarkably contributing to protect the environment and avoid paper material.
