EuGMS 2024

The 20th Congress of the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS), organized by Aristea in Valencia in 2024, marked a record-breaking edition with 2,328 participants from 76 countries and more than 1,367 abstracts submitted from 64 nations.

The congress introduced significant digital innovations: a new app with 2,330 active users, three live-streamed channels, and on-demand content, ensuring an accessible and sustainable experience.

A strong focus was also placed on sustainability: a fully certified carbon-neutral venue, over 3,000 kg of paper saved thanks to digital solutions, and a Zero Waste Initiative that donated all leftover food to local charities.

An event that successfully combined scientific growth, technological innovation, and social responsibility, further strengthening EuGMS’s role as a leading international reference in geriatric medicine.
